What We Do

Meetings are held throughout most of the year apart from over Christmas and New year. Meetings are held at 7.00pm on the last Wednesday of each month at The Inverness Golf Club, Culcabock Road. All are welcome to pop along to share our passion. Why not bring your own pipes and have a tune yourself.

We organise a programme of recitals through the winter months.  To these we invite the foremost players of the day and they are usually accompanied by a local junior piper.

We run an annual Junior Piping Competition and invite players from throughout the Highlands to compete.  Read more >>>

We also organise and steward the Solo Piping Competition at the Inverness Highland Games on behalf of Highland Council.  We pride ourselves in holding a well run competition with the aim of making the competing process as easy as it can be for pipers. Read more >>>

Next Meeting
Our first Society meeting of 2026 will be on WEDNESDAY 28TH JANUARY at the usual place, INVERNESS GOLF CLUB, on CULCABOCK ROAD. Normal time of 7pm. We hope to see as many of you there with pipes!!!

Next Recital

We are excited to announce that after the success of our last recital in October 2025 we will be having another recital night which will again be held at Inverness Golf Club.
This time we welcome the decorated Ben Duncan. Ben is an accomplished piper who has many many of the top solo piping awards around the Highland Games circuit, and most recently made his competitive debut at the 2025 Glenfiddich Piping Championships last October. He is also the current Pipe Sergeant of the famous Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band, so this will surely be a great night of piping no doubt.
As well as Ben, we will also have young local young piper Grace Kelman performing too.
Recital will be held on FRIDAY 13th February 2026.
Tickets are available now through Event Brite via the link below, with tickets priced as follows;
Adults £15
OAP's = £12
Under 16's = £5
