Inverness Piping Society 2012 Junior Piping Competition

A very popular competition which draws young pipers from across the Highlands.  Beginners on the chanter and the bagpipe are catered for, as are seasoned teenagers and in between!

The Annual Junior Piping Competition will take place on
Saturday 23 June 2012 in Inverness High School, Montague Row, Inverness commencing at 9.30am.

The Competition Events are:
  1. 2/4 March on Practice Chanter – 10 years and under 
  2. 2/4 March on Practice Chanter – 12 years and under
  3. 2/4 Novice March on Bagpipe – 14 years and under 
  4. 2/4 March – 14 years and under
  5. Strathspey and Reel – 14 years and under
  6. Piobaireachd – 14 years and under
  7. 2/4 March – 17 years and under 
  8. Strathspey and Reel – 17 years and under
  9. Piobaireachd – 17 years and under
  10. Slow Air – Open to competitors who have entered in any of events 7 to 9
  11. 6/8 March – Open to competitors who have entered in any of events 7 to 9
  12. Hornpipe - Open to competitors who have entered in any of events 7 to 9
  13. Jig – Open to competitors who have entered in any of events 7 to 9
